Spyder was dubbed in many languages including Arabic which made it the first Telugu movie to be dubbed in Arabic. The movie created a lot of hype as it was a big budget movie releasing after magnum opus Bahubali. The movie had an investment of 124 crores but the movie didn’t reach the expectations as the movie time was too long and the storyline was a complete mess up.
Puli is a fantasy action-adventure Tamil movie which was released in 2015. The movie had already made a name for itself even before release as it had star-studded cast which included super star Vijay in the lead role. Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Kichcha Sudeep and Sridevi as supporting actors. It was Vijay’s highest budgeted movie which costed around 100 crores. But it ended up as a box office flop. It is considered to be one of the biggest flops in Tamil movie industry.

Even before the release, Kochadaiiyan was believed to become a game changer in Tamil movie industry. It was one of the first 3D animated historical big budget movie in Tamil and was released in 2014. The movie starred none other than super star Rajinikanth and Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone. The movie was directed by Rajinikath’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikant. Kaashmora is another Tamil action-horror movie which was released in 2016 starring Karthi and Nayanatara in the lead. The film was made on a budget of 50 crores. Though the audience liked the movie, it was considered a box office flop as it didn’t ensure good return at the box office.
Another superstar Rajinikanth’s movie which was madeon a big budget but ended as box office flop. Lingaa is a Tamil period drama which was released in 2014. The movie was made at the budget of 100 crores. It also starred Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and telugu actress Anushka Shetty in the lead. Again, mixed up story line and a long movie time bored the audience and it ended up being a flop movie.
